How CoreWeave replaced old-school Manual Account Research with an automated, pain-driven data workflow.
What CoreWeave does
CoreWeave is a cloud computing company that specializes in providing GPU-accelerated infrastructure for demanding workloads such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), visual effects, and high-performance computing. Founded in 2017 and initially focused on cryptocurrency mining, CoreWeave pivoted to offering scalable, GPU-optimized cloud services designed to meet the needs of compute-intensive industries. The company operates multiple data centers across the United States and the United Kingdom and has experienced rapid growth, leveraging its close partnerships with GPU providers like Nvidia. With substantial funding and an upcoming IPO planned for 2025, CoreWeave aims to disrupt traditional cloud markets and solidify its position as a leader in GPU-based cloud solutions.
What problems do they solve?
Scalability and GPU Access
CoreWeave provides scalable, on-demand access to high-performance GPUs, addressing the shortage and inefficiency of traditional cloud providers in meeting the growing demand for compute-intensive workloads like AI training and machine learning.
TLDR
CoreWeave faced the challenge of enriching its CRM with accurate and detailed account insights for its 5,000 key accounts, sourced from diverse channels. Manually researching and classifying accounts into use case segments proved time-consuming and error-prone for SDRs.
To streamline this process, CoreWeave adopted Mailswift’s CRM automation workflow, which enriches accounts with pain-based data, sourced from articles, publications, financials, open job roles and employee LinkedIn profiles.
Mailswift's AI workflow was able to classify all 5,000 accounts by segment, vertical, AI maturity, and relevant initiatives in less than a business day. Update were made directly to their Salesforce fields for each account.
Cost-Effective Infrastructure
By offering optimized, GPU-specific cloud services, CoreWeave reduces the financial burden of accessing advanced computing resources, making high-performance solutions more affordable for businesses and developers.
Specialized Workload Support
Unlike general-purpose cloud providers, CoreWeave delivers purpose-built infrastructure tailored to industries requiring intensive computing power, such as visual effects, scientific simulations, and AI development.
Background
CoreWeave had a key account list of 5k accounts sourced from manual research, random lists, inbound and events. Research about each company is required to understand if they have a need for CoreWeave’s services, and based on their individual needs, categorisation into a CoreWeave use case segment.
The SDR Leader was planning to have SDRs manually research each account in batches every week, and classify each account themselves based on their research. However SDRs only have enough time to quickly research each company at a surface level, with classifications prone to human error or missed information.
They selected Mailswift’s CRM workflow to automatically conduct this research and use the data to classify each account with a use case. The workflow is capable of ingesting lists of accounts directly from their Salesforce, in addition to future new accounts that require research.
CoreWeave's AI CRM Workflow
How it works
When an account is added to a Salesforce list, Mailswift’s CRM automation initiates a process to enrich the account with detailed research and a use case classification. The system gathers data using the company’s domain and LinkedIn URL, sourcing these details if they are unavailable. It collects a range of information, including recent company news, financial metrics, 10K reports, press releases, job postings for relevant roles, LinkedIn profiles of employees in those roles, and the company website. This data is then systematically updated in the CRM, ensuring it is comprehensive and current.
Once the data is collected, Mailswift processes it to extract key insights linked to the problems CoreWeave's product solves. We optimized the workflow closely with the SDR Manager to extract known data points and new insight capabilities, ensuring insights feed directly into sales strategy and content generation; each account is classified into a segment such as Enterprise, AI Lab, or AI Platform, with non-relevant accounts excluded. The workflow then further identifies the company’s industry vertical, current and planned use of AI, top challenges, ongoing initiatives, and their overall AI maturity. These insights are then updated in the CRM, and summarized into a one-page document, enabling SDRs and AEs to efficiently analyze and engage with the account.
“Using Mailswift has been an absolute game-changer for our team. What used to take our SDRs hours of surface-level research every week is now fully automated and done in a single day—accurate, detailed, and tailored to our needs. Mailswift doesn’t just save us time; it gives us insights we didn’t even know we were missing, like how accounts are using AI or their top initiatives.
Our SDRs can now focus on having smarter conversations and closing deals instead of digging through LinkedIn and news sites. It’s like having an extra teammate who’s always on top of their game!”
